Upcoming KTM models will feature an all-new touchscreen TFT display that is loaded with innovative features.
There will be two versions of the new dash – vertical 8-inch and horizontal 8.8-inch. Both will be complimented by new switchgear and a new connectivity unit.
The touchscreen uses bonded screen technology and boasts anti-reflex, anti-fingerprint, and anti-glare screen coatings. KTM says the touchscreen can be used with or without gloves, while virtual onscreen shortcut buttons remove the need for auxiliary buttons for things like heating and lighting.
Notably, the new switchgear now features a dedicated ride mode button, as well as a new 5-way joystick and more.
Other features of the new TFT system include offline map navigation, customisable screen layouts, “seamless” smartphone connectivity, and over-the-air updates.
KTM says the new TFT dash will be available on upcoming “premium” models, with “more options being added” to the range in the coming years.
