KTM’s brand-new 250 SX-F and 450 SX-F Factory Editions have been unveiled, sharpening the already potent base products with a series of modifications, upgrades and aesthetic touches.
The two models are the first to carry the baton for KTM’s new-generation SX-F engineering, with nothing left untouched: the chassis, engine, suspension, ergonomics, exhaust system or graphics.
KTM also promises increased availability for both bikes across international markets, which is good news for Aussie customers.

The frames of both the KTM 450 SX-F and KTM 250 SX-F Factory Editions have been resculpted for weight saving, less mass, different geometry, new steering heads and fresh engine mounts.
The aluminium subframe is the lightest to emerge from the factory, the wheelbase can be lengthened, and the CNC-machined triple clamp boasts a new design.
There’s a WP XACT closed-cartridge spring fork and shock, as well as revised ergonomics, a slimmer profile, increased leg contact area, a new seat and updated footpegs.

The 250 SX-F Factory Edition has a new oval throttle body, oval intake ports, a top-feed injector and an entirely redesigned valve train.
Compression now hits 15.5:1 and the rev limit climbs to 14,500rpm – the same used by racers in MXGP and AMA competition.
The KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition has also been given a performance shot in the arm, with peak output now 63.8hp and torque 52Nm, while a new ECU has much more processing ability – improved quickshifter functionality is one of the bonuses.

Race-proven components from Excel (with a new spoke layout), Neken (lighter handlebars) and Brembo (a new rear pad for smoother braking) accompany additions like a new hour meter with easier accessibility.
The models include an optimised cooling system and a redesigned airbox and exhaust system.
The new 2027 Factory Editions will be available through authorised KTM dealers.
