A small capacity supermotard is headed for Australian shores, with the all-new KTM 390 SMC R set to be available from April 2025.
Using the same single-cylinder platform as the KTM 390 Duke, the new 390 SMC R adopts longer travel suspension, 17-inch wheels, grippy tyres, and a suite of electronic rider aids and technology.

KTM Australia expects the bike to be on dealer floors in Australia and New Zealand by April 2025, however it also stated that the 125 SMC R will not be coming Down Under.
The Austrian firm has been in the headlines lately for the wrong reasons, and is currently undergoing a complex reorganisation to address its financial issues. But there appears to be no signs of slowing down when it comes to new product.
A flurry of new models is expected in 2025, including the new 1390 Super Adventure range, the 1390 Super Duke GT, the 990 Duke R, the Freeride E, and the long-awaited 390 Adventure R. The production version of the highly anticipated 990 RC R supersport model should also be on its way soon.
