Who says you need to have big power to have big fun? Rok Bagoros, an up and coming motorcycle stunt rider from Slovenia, shows that all you need is a single cylinder 125cc learner bike and a bit of courage. And perhaps a lot of skill... And a race track in Austria...
The video below shows Rok (who made a name for himself performing scooter stunts) cranking the KTM 125 Duke to levels that we never thought were possible. It's seriously impressive stuff.
While Rok is beginning to make a name for himself in the stunting arena, catching the eye of extreme sports juggernaut that is Red Bull, the stunts also make a strong case for the 125cc KTM Duke.
Sure, it's not a particularly powerful steed, the compact 125cc single cylinder powerplant snapping out 15hp (11kW) and just 12Nm of torque, but weighing just 125kg Rok show's how easily it can be thrown around.
Some of the stunts he completes are very impressive, and the various wheel stands he performs - including bouncing the bike and jumping between the seat and pegs - suggest the baby naked bike is a well balanced machine.
Which brings us to the local angle - when is the KTM 125 Duke coming to Australia? The bike has been a huge hit in Europe and with confirmation that KTM's Indian factory will be pumping out 200cc and 350cc variants of the Duke, would it really be a stretch to import a few to Australia?
Lobby your local KTM dealer if you're passionate, but otherwise you could post a comment and make your thoughts public. Would you buy a bike like the KTM 125 Duke?
