KTM has announced that the 2024 XC and XC-F range is headed to Australian shores, with the first units set to be available at local dealerships from June 2023 onwards.
The cross-country models are based on the championship-winning motocross platform but add features and settings that make them more suitable for cross-country racing and enduro.
On the four-stroke side of the shed, the cross-country range includes the KTM 450 XC-F, the KTM 350 XC-F, and the KTM 250 XC-F, while the two-stroke department features the KTM 300 XC, the KTM 250 XC, and the KTM 125 XC. The 125 XC will also be available in New Zealand.

KTM Australia told bikesales that the XC and XC-F range has been brought to Australia previously in smaller quantities, but the firm is looking to push the models a bit harder this year.
Victorians in particular will benefit from the cross-country range, with the models eligible for recreational registration. This allows for legal motocross-level performance in the bush.
The 2023 XC and XC-F range received the same upgrades as the 2023 motocross range, with only minimal changes for the 2024 models.
At the top of the list is reworked suspension, with the front WP XACT closed-cartridge fork benefitting from a new mid-valve piston concept that optimizes oil flow within the cartridge.

There is also a new hydro stop in the last 68mm of the stroke that aids in maintaining maximum reserves in extreme riding situations. Revised fork protection rings also provide increased protection against dirt intrusion for improved reliability, while the total fork length is now 940mm and the total travel is 300mm.
On the rear, the WP XACT shock provides refined damping characteristics and features less overall length and less weight compared to the previous generation. Like the fork, the travel is 300mm.
The XC and XC-F range also gets new graphics, and is primed for easy adjustability and maintenance.
