Triumph’s new motocrosser readies for launch
Triumph has revealed the last of its ‘Vision to Reality’ clips, showing its new 250cc motocross model in near-production-ready formTriumph Motorcycles created a sensation when it announced it was jumping into the maelstrom of the 250cc motocross segment, but judging by the final instalment of its ‘Vision to Reality’ series of YouTube clips, the new Triumph model isn’t far off from its public debut.
The latest (and last) clip show two examples being piloted by Ricky Carmichael and amateur motocross sensation, Even Ferry, and the pair aren’t holding back in attacking the flowing circuit.
“The chassis is really good – it’s super nimble, it’s plush,” says Carmichael. “When you see a line, boom, you can do it.”
Ferry is also impressed. “They found something special with the frame,” he says. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt something like that.”
The launch of the new model is still a closely guarded secret, but with Italy’s EICMA motorcycle expo looming (November 9 to 12), chances are we won’t have to wait too much longer for full details.
