Triumph has teamed up with legendary guitar builder Gibson to produce a special one-off model, inspired by the iconic Les Paul Standard axe.
The Triumph Bonneville T120 1959 Legends Custom Edition celebrates both the 1959 Les Paul Standard and the original 1959 Bonneville T120, with unique detailing and a hand-painted sunburst paint scheme. The custom leather seat also holds a number of Triumph/Gibson plectrums.
Gibson has also produced a custom 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue to sit alongside the Bonneville T120. The guitar features Triumph branding and detailing, including a hand coach-lined pickguard, etched pick-up covers, a branded truss-rod cover, and a reissue switch backplate.
Both the motorcycle and the guitar have been built as a one-off and will be presented to the highest fundraiser of the 2022 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.
Triumph is a major sponsor of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – a worldwide charity event that raises funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer awareness.
While there are no current plans to offer more units of the once-off custom 1959 Legends Bonneville T120 and Les Paul Standard, past history suggests that a limited production run may be a possibility – potentially after the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has run.
