New CB-four hits the streets

Honda brings in a bigger naked

Honda is this week launching a new bike in the showrooms --  the CBF1000F.

Based around the original one-litre Fireblade powerplant, the machine boosts the company’s naked bike profile.

Essential stats include a 96-horse version of the 16-valve, fuel-injected, engine, a 220kg claimed dry weight and a $14,990 (plus ORC) price tag.

We get the luxo version of the machine, which includes ABS and the firm’s dual combined brake system.

There are some touches for anyone planning some travel, such as an adjustable windscreen and seat height.

We're told there is also a range of accessories, including hard luggage.
