Honda Australia has unveiled its 2027 off-road competition motorcycle range, headlined by what the company describes as the most significant update to its CRF450R model in more than a decade.
The revised lineup includes the CRF450R, CRF450 Works Edition (WE) and CRF450RX, alongside updated CRF250R, CRF250 Works Edition and CRF250RX models.
According to Honda, the 2027 CRF450R receives a lighter and more powerful engine, along with substantial changes to the chassis and suspension.
The updates were developed with input from the brand’s factory racing programs, including Australia's own superstars, Jett and Hunter Lawrence, and are aimed at improving power delivery, stability and overall rideability across varying track conditions.

The same changes will be carried across to the CRF450 Works Edition and off-road-focused CRF450RX.
Honda says the CRF250 range receives a more modest round of updates, with revised suspension settings designed to improve consistency and rider feedback while retaining the performance characteristics of the existing models.
Chris Schultz, General Manager of Powersports and Products at Honda Australia, said the new CRF450 range reflects the company’s ongoing investment in off-road competition.
“The biggest overhaul of the CRF450 in a decade demonstrates Honda’s long-term commitment to off-road riding and performance,” Schultz said.
“Working in collaboration with HRC teams globally, Honda engineers are designing and building bikes that are durable and capable of winning at the highest levels of the sport.”

Honda has not yet released detailed technical specifications or pricing for the 2027 models. Expressions of interest for the CRF450R and CRF450 Works Edition are expected to open in the third quarter of 2026, with Australian arrivals scheduled for late 2026.
In the meantime, the current 2026 CRF competition range remains available, with a promotional offers applying to selected CRF250R and CRF450R models.
