Honda Australia confirms subscription service for WN7 electric roadster

First revealed as a production-ready model in November 2025, the commuter-focused WN7 is Honda’s first major step into the full-size electric motorcycle market.
The WN7 is powered by a 9.3kWh high-voltage lithium-ion battery and liquid-cooled electric motor, producing a claimed 50kW and 100Nm.
Maximum battery range is estimated at up to 153km, while a full charge will take between 2.4 and 5.5 hours, depending on the charging system used.

Rather than offering the WN7 to customers through a traditional purchase model, Honda Australia has taken the unique approach of integrating a subscription service supported by local car subscription provider Carbar.
Customers will pay $400 per month to use the bike, with registration and insurance included. There are no lock-in contracts, meaning subscribers can swap or cancel their subscription with two weeks’ notice.
Australia will be the only country outside Europe taking orders for the WN7, but only 50 units will be available initially, and only to existing Honda customers.
Honda Australia says it is using the subscription model as an opportunity to “test the market” for electric motorcycles.
“We know that electrification in Australia hasn’t really taken off in the motorcycle industry,” said Honda Australia’s Chris Schultz. “So, we really want to test the market and see what’s happening in this space.”
