The 2022 KTM motocross range has been given an aesthetic overhaul while maintaining the championship-winning performance and technology of previous models.
Featuring three four-stroke models and three two-stroke models, the 2022 SX range builds upon the knowledge and success achieved by KTM’s factory race teams over the years.
Headlining the changes for 2022 is a bold new livery which is complemented by an orange powder-coated frame and a new blue seat cover.
Technically, not a lot has changed, but the 2022 KTM 250 SX-F and KTM 350 SX-F benefit from an updated friction bearing on the counter-balancer shafts.

KTM has otherwise kept the same successful formula from 2021. All bikes in the range feature a double cradle chromoly frame, and premium WP XACT suspension, with 310mm travel at the front and 300mm travel at the rear.
The 450 SX-F, 350 SX-F and 250 SX-F models also feature traction control, launch control and a map switch, as well as an optional connectivity unit which allows you to customise engine settings and get suspension set-up tips via your smartphone.
The four-stroke models feature powerful single-cylinder, liquid-cooled four-valve DOHC engines with finger followers (rocker levers for the 450 SX-F), as well as Keihin fuel injection, EMS and 44mm throttle bodies. There are also two oil pumps with pressure lubrication, a 7-litre fuel tank, and a lightweight aluminium silencer.
Meanwhile, the 125 SX, 150 SX, and 250 SX all feature two-stroke engines with wet multi-disc DS clutch (DDS on the 250SX), Brembo hydraulics, and Kokusan ignition/engine management.
The 2022 KTM SX range is due to arrive in dealerships overseas from May 2021, but Australian fans can expect to see them on our shores from July. Pricing is yet to be announced.
