Could it be true? The international rumour mill insists Honda is about to launch itself down the retro trail with a modern recreation of the air-cooled CB750/4 of the late 1960s.
Widely regarded as the machine which set the Japanese industry on the road to world dominance of the performance motorcycle market, the 60 horsepower machine was a mainstay of the company's line-up for the best part of a decade, though it was quickly overtaken by the likes of the Kawasaki Z900.
If it emerges, the machine is said to be air-cooled and a close replica of the original and is pencilled in for launch at the next Tokyo Motorcycle Show.
