Free high-vis vests for Honda buyers
In a bid to improve motorcycle safety, Honda is giving high visibility vests to new bike buyersThe incentives are coming thick and fast from Honda, with the automotive giant now offering free high visibility vests to all new motorcycle buyers.
Hot on the heels of its buy a sports bike, get an iPad' incentive, Honda is giving away free high-vis vests with all new Honda purchases across Australia in order to 'combat motorcycle rider safety issues.'
It's also a nifty way for Honda to get its famous 'wing' emblazoned on the back of motorcyclists, but the safety benefits of these vests are proven and they work especially well after dark and in inclement conditions.
Valued at around $25, the high-vis Honda vests have been "uniquely produced for Honda" and come in one-size-fits-all, featuring adjustable velcro straps. There's also a front zipper.
"We have been considering for some time the most practical way that we can help riders to be safer on the road," said Honda Australia's General Manager, Motorcyles, Tony Hinton.
"Visibility is often noted as a factor in crashes involving cars and motorcyclists, and this is an area where we can encourage riders to do as much as possible to be seen, day or night. We are seeing more and more riders wearing high-vis clothing and vests, and felt that it would be an excellent value add item for anyone purchasing one of our motorcycles," added Hinton.
