The upcoming Italian power cruiser from Ducati has been spied undergoing testing for quite some time now, but the name of the new model has been a closely guarded secret.
But new reports suggest 'Diavel' will be the name of the new ultra-powerful Yamaha V-Max rival, and not the Vyper as had been previously rumoured.
Though it's difficult to find evidence of such claims, reports from Europe suggest that Ducati has registered the 'Diavel' name and trademarked it for use on a plethora of accessories, riding gear, you name it.
The word 'Diavel' means devil in a Bolognese dialect, and it's interesting to note that the standard Italian word for devil, 'Diavolo', has been potentially overlooked.
Is this a good name? Would you ride a Ducati Diavel?
We'll know soon enough whether this is officially Ducati's new name for its power cruiser – watch this space!
