
Honda's sports-touring mainstay, the VFR800, is to return to the litre class in 2008, with patent drawings revealing it will become the VFR1000.
The drawings do not reveal the real styling, but do show a new frame, based on separate chassis pieces mounted to the engine as the main stressed member.
Its front section contains the headstock but does not have a direct connection with the rear alloy section that carries the swingarm.
The engine configuration is V-four, though strangely enough a V-five variant is also shown.
