Beach Blade wins holeshot

Loony CBR wins le Torquet holeshot

A Honda Fireblade converted into a dirt bike has won the 7.5km holeshot competition at the infamous Le Torquet beach race in France.


The event, which usually sees several hundred competitors slug it out to be first into the turn one, typically sees monster kit like BMW and KTM twins (usually modified) dominating this section of the race, even if they withdraw before the finish.


However it was won this time by rider Mickael Cavalioska whose creation claimed a top speed of 230km/h, a little more than its nearest competitors.


Having got the holeshot trophy, he then wisely withdrew after the first lap...
