Australia is leading a boom in sales for Ducati, with the Italian manufacturer selling 34,485 motorcycles worldwide in the first six months of 2021.
Local sales have grown by 82 per cent compared to 2020, with the new Ducati Multistrada V4, Ducati Scrambler 800, and Ducati Streetfighter V4 proving to be the most popular models. The new Ducati Monster, Ducati Diavel 1260 S ‘Black and Steel’, and the Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP are also expected to be popular through the remainder of 2021.

The Italian manufacturer has experienced a sales increase of 43 per cent worldwide compared to 2020, and an increase of 9 per cent from 2019. June, 2021, was the company’s best ever month, with 8598 units sold worldwide.
"The month of June was the best-ever for the company, confirming the positive trend that began with the excellent second half of 2020 and with the significant growth in the first quarter of this 2021,” said Francesco Milicia, VP Global Sales Director. Despite the great complexity, Ducati recorded truly significant growth, exceeding pre-Covid values by almost 10%.”
Motorcycle sales have continued to grow in Australia, with the demand for two-wheels clearly contributing to Ducati’s sales success. Other nations which have experienced a strong increase in Ducati sales are Italy (55 per cent), Japan (53 per cent) and North America (51 per cent). Italy is the brand’s top market, with 6071 motorcycles sold so far in 2021.
