Moto Morini refutes closure claims

Italian motorcycle manufacturer says it is still operating and is clearing a backlog of bikes

Moto Morini dead, but not buried, says the company.

Despite reports in the Italian media stating that motorcycle manufacturer Moto Morini had shut it doors for good and would be seeking a buyer to save its bacon, a spokesman for the company has refuted the claims.

"At present Moto Morini is only producing bikes to order while they clear a backlog of machines in stock. They remain optimistic about the future," the spokesman told a UK website.

Moto Morini stated that the reports were premature and that the factory was closed for a public holiday. The Italian motorcycle company explained that it would soon release a statement regarding its future.
