Honda CB300F/CBR300R recalled

A safety recall has been issued for two of Honda's pint-sized LAMS models
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has issued a safety recall for Honda's CB300F naked bike and CBR300R sportsbike (pictured).
The recall states, "Due to incorrect quality control during the manufacturing process, the engine crankshaft bearings may fail and cause the engine to stop suddenly and be unable to be restarted".
Such a failure could potentially cause the rider to crash, the recall states.
The recall affects the following VIN numbers:
CB300F
MLHNC52U3F5100001 to MLHNC52U9G5200248
CBR300R
MLHNC51U5F5100003 to MLHNC51U7G5200699
Owners of affected motorcycle should contact their nearest Honda Motorcycles dealers to arrange to have the fault rectified as soon as possible.
