Ducati will enter AMA Supercross in 2026 after joining forces with Troy Lee Designs for a “historic” partnership.
The Italian brand revealed its US plans on January 10 ahead of the 2025 AMA Supercross traditional opener in Anaheim.
As part of the deal, Troy Lee Designs will be at eight of the AMA Supercross rounds in 2025 to display a prototype Ducati Desmo450 MX.
Since announcing its foray into motocross in 2023, Ducati has raced in various championships across Europe, but an entry into the prestigious US-based SuperMotocross series (AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross combined) would be a significant milestone for the brand.
Ducati says it will enter AMA championships in the “near future”, but, with the production Desmo450 MX set to land on European dealer floors from June 2025, it would be safe to assume the brand will target an AMA debut in 2026.
Troy Lee Designs, an iconic apparel and custom paint design company from Corona, California, has been a chief partner with many AMA race teams over the years, most recently with GASGAS.
“We are super stoked to be partnering with Ducati, one of the most prestigious brands in motorcycling,” said Troy Lee, founder of the design firm. “Racing is core to our brand and enables us to develop our own products for safety at the highest performance levels. I look forward to making history together with this partnership.”
