Yamaha's deals on wheels

In the face of the on-going economic slowdown, Yamaha Motor Australia is offering a wide array of sales promotions to tempt prospective motorcycle, scooter and ATV buyers to part with their cash, including a low 5.99 per cent finance rate on many models purchased through Yamaha Motor Finance.

Until August 24, a $1000 ‘cashback’ offer applies to Yamaha’s flagship sports weapon, the YZF-R1, while a $600 cashback applies to its YZF-R6 middleweight. If you like your thrills tempered by a little extra comfort, until September 30 any buyers of the FZ1N/S and FZ6N/S naked/semi-faired roadsters will receive 12 months of fully comprehensive insurance.

Until October 27, cruiser aficionados can now get behind the ’bars of a big-bore Yamaha XVS1100 V-Star Custom for $13,990 (ride away), while buyers can also pick up an XVS1100A V-Star Classic for $14,990 (ride away), an XVS1300A V-Star for $16,990 (ride away), an XV1900A Roadliner for $22,990 (ride away) or an XV1900AS Roadliner for $23,490 (ride away).

Until October 27 you can snap up a BeeWee YW100 scooter for $2990 ride away and score 3000km-worth of free fuel, while Yamaha’s WR450F and WR250F dirt bikes come with a free Yamaha Racing jet washer (valued at $300) and a Yamaha pop-up tent (valued at $500) – plus $1000 cashback on the 450 and $750 cashback on the 250.
