Italian scooter manufacturer Vespa now has a couple of limited-edition models on sale, which were displayed at last weekend's Melbourne Motorcycle Expo.
The GTS 300 'Super Sport' (first image) is a racy scooter design and though its cousin -- the GTV 300 'Via Montenapoleone' -- is a phonetic jumble, it comes with a number of classic styling cues that should help to turn a few heads along trendy café strips.
Starting with the GTS 300 Super Sport, the special edition scooter is powered by a Quasar 300cc engine and is finished in unique titanium paint. It also gains a special ribbed seat and has Super Sport badging to set it apart from its stable mates.
According to Vespa, the "enhanced styling, features and 300cc performance will guarantee that the Super Sport stands out in any crowd."
The Super Sport is priced at $8890.
The second limited edition model coming to Australia later in 2010 is the Vespa GTV 300 Via Montenapoleone (second image), named after the famous Milanese fashion street and first shown at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan late last year.
The Vespa GTV 300 Via Montenapoleone ($9990) is also powered by a 300cc Quasar engine, and is finished in a unique Nero colour and rides on chrome wheels. Other visual changes include a rear quarter panel vent, a grey trimmed eco leather combination saddle and bold 'Via Montenapoleone' badging.
