Triumph British Army Scrambler custom

Created by European tuner Classic Farm Motorcycles, what was once a Triumph Scrambler is now a vintage military-inspired machine with a rugged look

When we laid eyes upon this British Army-inspired Triumph Scrambler we thought it was probably customised in ol' Blighty. It was inspired by British Army designs after all.

But as it turns out this is an Italian custom job.

Put together by Classic Farm Motorcycles, the bike started out as an almost-new Triumph Scrambler, but as the photos reveal the end result is a far different proposition.

The military tan paintwork on the tank, front and rear fenders, headlight and bash plate instantly give the bike an olde world image, and the icing on the cake is the vintage headlight cover, which can be flipped up for improved night time vision or closed for stealth mode - perfect for avoiding enemy patrols.

Though one look at that custom exhaust might negate any 'stealth' the motorcycle might have once had. With short headers culminating in a single exhaust, this bike would be very loud.

Powered by an 865cc parallel twin cylinder engine, the Classic Farm Motorcycles creation gets knobby tyres for off-road duties and a robust-looking bash plate, giving a more substantial and rugged look than its donor bike, the Triumph Scrambler.

Other touches include the upright front number plate on the front fender and custom indicator box located below the headlight, both adding to the bike's unique appeal (and the latter design cue ensures that even dropping the bike won't result in busted indicators).

Army-issue replica panniers have even been fashioned for the classic Triumph British Army Scrambler, which are the icing on a very appetising cake.

With Italian tuners increasingly making their presence felt in the burgeoning global custom bike scene -- check out the McDeeb W400TT as another example -- we can expect to see plenty more quality customs like this one from Italy.
