Suzuki has revealed a special version of its legendary Hayabusa model in celebration of the famous machine’s 25th anniversary.
Adding a unique colour scheme and plenty of special details and parts, the 25th Anniversary Hayabusa will retain the same engine, chassis, and electronics as the third-generation platform released in 2021.
The 25th Anniversary edition will feature a unique anniversary emblem, special decals, a three-dimensional Suzuki logo on the tank, a gold anodized brake inner rotor, a gold anodized chain adjuster, and a single seat cowling as standard.
“The Hayabusa series has been a flagship model representing Suzuki, and has fans all over the world,” said Suzuki President, Toshihiro Suzuki. “We would like to express our deepest gratitude that this model is able to celebrate its 25th anniversary.”
Suzuki released the first generation Hayabusa in 1999 with a powerful 1299cc inline four-cylinder engine. The bike was acclaimed for its high power figures and aerodynamic nature, and subsequently broke a number of speed records.
A second-generation was released in 2008, before the third-generation added a redesigned engine, chassis, and modern electronics.
The bike is sold in 48 countries, and Suzuki claims over 200,000 units have been produced in the model’s lifetime.
While pricing and arrival is yet to be announced for Australia, Suzuki says that the 25th Anniversary model will go on sale globally from July 2023 onwards.
