The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC) has secured the support of one of the big four Japanese manufacturers/distributors for its National Rally, to be held in Victoria's picturesque Yarra Valley in April next year.
Suzuki Australia will be naming rights sponsor of the Suzuki-VJMC National Rally 2009, to be held on the weekend of April 4-5 at Healesville, north-east of Melbourne.
VJMC Rally organising committee chairman Jeff Eeles said support from Suzuki Australia would help the club lift the successful annual rally to a new level, reflecting the huge interest in early Japanese motorcycles.
"This is the first time in almost 20 years of the VJMC rally that we have secured a naming rights sponsor, indicating the strength of the club nationally and the public interest in the classic Japanese bikes of the sixties, seventies and eighties," Eeles said.
The Suzuki -VJMC National Rally 2009 will be held at Healesville Racecourse, about an hour's drive from Melbourne CBD, with organised rides and judging of entries on Saturday 4 April and a public open day on Sunday 5 April, 2009.
