Aussie champs headline Suzuki track day

Let Shawn Giles, Josh Waters and Wayne Maxwell show you the way around Suzuki’s Sportsbike Track Day

Three former Australian Superbike Champions have been confirmed to join Suzuki's Sportsbike Track Day on February 1 at Phillip Island, offering insight and advice to participants.

Three-time Aussie champ Shawn Giles will join 2019 factory Suzuki ASBK riders Josh Waters and Wayne Maxwell at next month's event, where they'll impart some of the knowledge and skill that has won them a combined seven Australian Superbike titles, all of them coming on Suzuki machinery.

Giles won three consecutive titles between 2000 and 2002, Waters clinched his in 2009, 2012 and 2017, while Maxwell won the 2013 Australian Superbike gong.

Open to owners of any Suzuki-branded sportsbike, the track-day will comprise six 20-minute sessions and starts at a price of $200. The expert tuition will come at an additional cost of $150 and if you fancy a squirt on the firm's latest-generation GSX-R1000 around one of the most picturesque racetracks in the world, another $50 will cover that. Garage hire is also available for an additional $25 per rider.
