Rash of BMWs on way

BMW has promised a host of new models in the very near future. In addition ot the R1200S, it has announced another three variants on existing machines

Joining the previously revealed twin cylinder sports F 800 S is a second model variant, the touring oriented F 800 ST.

For Boxer fans there is the R 1200 GS Adventure, previewed at the Birmingham show in late October, as well as the just revealed R 1200 S sport Boxer.

Another surprise for show visitors will be the next generation K 1200 GT (pictured two-up) long-distance sports touring machine, based on the award winning K 1200 S and K 1200 R.

This second generation GT offers top-class riding dynamics, thanks to an engine that is already designed to deliver high torque. The K 1200 GT will be admired for its supreme performance and superior agility. Expect engine output in excess of 110 kW.

The K 1200 GT has the same technical basis as the K 1200 S and offers Duolever front wheel control, Paralever rear wheel control and electrically adjustable suspension strut (ESA) as an optional extra.

Bespoke GT features include an adjustable seat and handlebars, electrically adjustable windscreen, a new pannier system and BMW Motorrad Integral ABS in the part integral version.

Import dates and prices have yet to be released.
