QJMOTOR confirms Australian arrival, with dedicated warehouses in Sydney and Melbourne

Chinese giant QJMOTOR will arrive on Australian showroom floors in October, according to its new local distributor.

The Geely-owned motorcycle manufacturer recently found an Australian distributor in NEXA Auto Imports, and applications are open for prospective dealers around the country.

“We’ve had the opportunity to build this operation from the ground up,” said QJMOTOR Australia’s Clint Davis. “That means getting the right people, systems and support in place before the first bike is sold.”

QJMOTOR Australia’s initial product range will include models in the sports, roadster, adventure and cruiser segments, with LAMS and full-power options available.

Key models include the SRV 600 V2 cruiser, the SRT 450 RX and SRT 900 SX adventure bikes, and the SRK 800 RR supersport model.

QJMOTOR Australia will also offer comprehensive aftersales assistance, with a dedicated technical and warranty team taking care of parts, accessories and workshop support.

The brand will base itself in a 10,900-square-metre warehouse in Sydney, with a second dedicated 8200-square-metre facility in Melbourne housing parts and accessories. The sites will use “automated guided vehicles” to handle order picking. The brand will also use third-party warehousing in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

QJMOTOR’s majority owner is Chinese auto giant Geely, which also owns Volvo, Zeekr, Lotus and Polestar. It also has stakes in Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin. QJMOTOR is not a complete stranger to Australia, with subsidiary Benelli being distributed locally by Urban Moto Imports.

The final model line-up and local pricing will be announced by QJMOTOR closer to launch, but riders can express their interest at qjmotor.com.au, while established motorcycle dealers can register their details via the same website.
