MV Agusta unveils F3 RC
Limited-edition, ultra-exotic and road-going MV Agusta SupersportFollowing on from the Reparto Corse (RC) race replica of its F4 Superbike, MV Agusta has whipped the covers off two similarly equipped versions of its F3 Supersport machine.
Looking every bit the bikes Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti are currently campaigning in the 2016 World Supersport Championship, the MV Agusta F3 RC will be available in both 675cc and 800cc guises.
The smaller of the two, of which only 100 units will be produced, is powered by a 675cc triple that's good for a claimed 128hp at 14,400rpm and 71Nm of torque at 10,900rpm, and it weighs in at the same 173kg (dry) as its 800cc counterpart.
The larger 798cc version, of which 250 units will be produced, is said to be good for 148hp and 88Nm, the figures chiming in at 13,000rpm and 10,600rpm respectively.
Both bikes are suspended on a Marzocchi/Sachs combination suspension package, are stopped by radial-mounted Brembo monoblocs and employ a tubular aluminium frame. Both engines get switchable maps thanks to the ride-by-wire throttle, as well as an eight-level switchable traction control system, Bosch's 9 plus ABS system with anti-rear-wheel lift and an electronic quickshifter.
In terms of equipment specific to the RC model, there's anodised blanking caps for the mirror mounting points, while the brake and clutch levers, as well as the footpegs, are machined from billet aluminium.
Both bikes will also be supplied with a billet-aluminium number-plate hanger for the ability to turn the track-focused model into a road-legal machine, as well as a rear seat cowl, a paddock stand and a branded bike cover.
On top of this, the firm's current World Supersport Championship riders, Cluzel and Zanetti, have each signed their name on either side of the fairing.
