MV Agusta has unveiled a new limited-edition version of its flagship naked bike, the Brutale 1000 ABT, developed in collaboration with German performance tuning specialist ABT Sportsline. Production will be capped at just 130 individually numbered units worldwide, marking ABT’s 130th anniversary and positioning the model as a collector-focused variant rather than a volume seller.
The Brutale 1000 ABT is based on the existing Brutale 1000 platform but introduces a series of cosmetic, material and equipment changes. It features a new Nero Carbonio Metallizzato and Rosso Fuoco livery, with red accents applied to the wheels and frame. MV Agusta says the graphics are applied using a water-decal process under the clear coat to achieve a seamless finish.

Visual changes also include a range of carbon fibre components and a carbon rear wheel rim cover, which MV Agusta says is inspired by motorsport turbofan-style wheel designs. The company claims this element helps reduce turbulence around the rear wheel and contributes to aerodynamic efficiency. The bike also uses an Alcantara seat with a honeycomb-style pattern, designed to reference high-performance automotive interiors.
Power comes from MV Agusta’s 998cc inline four-cylinder engine, updated for Euro 5+ compliance. In standard trim it produces 201hp at 13,500rpm and 116Nm at 11,000rpm. With an included racing kit consisting of an Arrow titanium slip-on exhaust and ECU mapping intended for track use only, output is increased to a claimed 208hp at 14,000rpm.

Mechanical changes include revised camshafts, updated engine mapping, modified gearbox ratios and a shorter final drive ratio aimed at improving acceleration response. The motorcycle is also equipped with forged wheels and a comprehensive suite of carbon fibre bodywork components.
Suspension is handled by Öhlins electronically controlled hardware, including a Nix EC front fork, TTX EC rear shock and electronic steering damper. The system allows riders to adjust damping settings electronically, depending on road or track conditions.

Braking is provided by Brembo Stylema calipers paired with 320mm Braking Batfly discs, with MV Agusta noting that some components supplied in the racing kit are intended for closed-course use only.
Each bike is delivered with a dedicated ownership package that includes the racing kit, carbon pillion seat cover, cover, adjustment plates and a certificate of authenticity.
The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 ABT will enter production in the fourth quarter of 2026. Pricing in Italy is set at €40,990, with Australian availability yet to be confirmed.
