There are those who think the Kawasaki W800 is a good piece of retro motorcycle art, but there are others - such as German tuning house LSL Motorradtechnik - that think it can be improved upon.
Enter the Lindy Bob, a vehicle with a very different attitude to its donor bike.
Perhaps the biggest aesthetic change to this motorcycle are the drooped bars, which also change the bike's intent via the posture of the rider.
Also check out the oddly placed rear view mirror that appears to be 'form before function'.
The frame and engine remain intact, but LSL has added a new tank finished in matte red, added Krümmerband (aka heat wrap) to the exhaust headers, while integrating new end cans.
Another big change are the wheels, 18-inch aluminium spoked jobs that have been black anodized to suit the bike's visual motif. New rear shockers and a shorter rear fender are added and the seat is a bit thinner as well.
The front brakes and triple trees are new, and braided lines have been used to improve reliability.
The Kawasaki W800 pays homage to bikes of 1960s, but this custom design turns back the clock another 30 years or so. Do you think European tuning gurus LSL have improved upon the original W800 design? Have your say below.
