Kawasaki has confirmed it will expand its off-road line-up with the introduction of the all-new KX327 and KX327X, two 327cc two-stroke models scheduled to arrive in Australia and New Zealand in the first quarter of 2027.
The new models are notable for featuring Kawasaki's first fuel-injected two-stroke single-cylinder engine, marking a significant technical step for the manufacturer in the off-road segment. The 327cc powerplant combines electronic fuel injection with electric start and is designed to deliver strong low-rpm performance, linear power delivery and improved rideability compared with traditional carburetted two-strokes.
According to Kawasaki, the engine also incorporates a newly developed exhaust valve system intended to provide smoother torque characteristics across the rev range. Riders will be able to select between different engine maps via a handlebar-mounted power mode switch, while smartphone connectivity will also be offered.

Both models are built around a lightweight aluminium perimeter frame and feature KYB suspension, with a 48mm coil-spring fork up front and a Uni-Trak rear shock. Additional equipment includes a hydraulic clutch, ODI lock-on grips, adjustable ERGO-FIT components and a quick-release side cover designed to simplify air filter access.
The standard KX327 is aimed at motocross and closed-course competition, pairing the new engine with a five-speed close-ratio transmission and slim bodywork.
The KX327X, meanwhile, is positioned as the more cross-country-focused variant. It receives a six-speed gearbox with a lower first gear, an 8.3-litre fuel tank, hand guards, skid plate, side stand and rear brake disc guard. Wheel sizes differ from the motocross model, with the KX327X running a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear combination better suited to off-road and enduro-style riding.
Kawasaki says further details, including Australian pricing, specifications and local availability, will be announced closer to launch.
