Ducati’s factory outfit has unveiled the machines that Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia will pilot in the 2021 MotoGP World Championship.
Both Miller and Bagnaia raced for the satellite Pramac Ducati team in 2020, but will both suit up for the factory team when the new season kicks off at Qatar in March.
The presentation was streamed online with Ducati also revealing the return of the team’s title sponsor, Chinese tech giant Lenovo, for the 2021 season.
The 2021 livery places more emphasis on the famous Ducati red, however Ducati Corse GM Luigi Dall’lgna said that technical changes to the bike were limited by regulations. “We cannot modify some of the bike’s components,” he said. “But we have been able to work on many other aspects to improve our bike’s competitiveness in 2021.”

Miller's bike features his signature Australian flag '43' number plate, while both bikes feature all the hallmarks of a MotoGP machine, including plenty of bling and plenty of technology.
Miller’s elevation to the factory team comes after three years with the Pramac team, which saw him earn 9 podiums. In 2020, the 26-year-old finished 7th in the championship – his highest finish in the premier class to date.
The Australian rider has just one MotoGP class win to his name, which came in 2016 during a weather-affected race in Assen, Netherlands. However, it is likely he could add to that tally now he is on the factory Ducati machine.
“I still have to realise that I’ll be part of the factory Ducati team this year,” exclaimed Miller. “It’s taken a long way to get this far, and finally being ‘in red’ gives me a great sense of satisfaction.”
Joining Miller is Italian ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, who also raced for Pramac in 2020. “This is a significant season for me because it will be the first time I’ll be wearing colours of an official team,” he said. “I’m sure I have all I need to be competitive right from the start and aim high.”
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, organisers are hoping the 2021 MotoG season will kick off at Losail on March 28. There are currently 19 rounds confirmed. Testing will get underway in Qatar on March 5th, with Ducati planning to participate.
