LEGO has unveiled its latest two-wheeled tribute, with the LEGO Vespa 125 paying homage to the Italian scooter icon in 1106 individual pieces.
The model is a tribute to the original Vespa, and comes in the pastel blue scheme commonly applied to Vespa models of that era. Builders can further embrace the brand’s rich heritage by adding a classic 1960s-style licence plate and Vespa logo.
LEGO says the kit includes many beautiful design touches, including a bunch of flowers in the scooter’s basket, a spare wheel, a removable engine cover, a centrestand and moving handlebars.

“Working with the Vespa team to create this stunning automotive masterpiece was an incredible experience,” said LEGO Group Senior Designer, Florian Muller.
“Recreating the details of the original model to celebrate the classic 1960s Vespa was one of my favourite parts of designing this set. The set offered me a chance to step back in time and let my imagination flow while designing, and we hope the experience is the same for fans.”
Marco Lambri, Head of the Piaggio Group Design Center, said the collaboration represented a great partnership.
“Working with the LEGO Group was an extraordinary experience, because it brought two dreams – the LEGO brand and Vespa – together, which have the unlimited expressive potential that they offer their fans in common,” he said.
“Two outstanding brands able to span different ages, always able to reinvent themselves because have the capacity to unite and to build in their DNA. As designers, the challenge was to have the soft shapes of Vespa coexist with the form of Lego bricks, a challenge I believe we met with flying colours.”
Suitable for builders aged 18 and over, the LEGO Vespa 125 is available now both in stores and online, at a recommended retail price of $169.95. The finished model stands 22cm high by 12cm wide by 35cm long.
