Fonz has released its most powerful electric road scooter to date, with the new Arthur 6 range on sale now.
Priced from $5760 (plus on-road costs), the new Fonz Arthur 6 range includes three variants that offer different max speeds and battery ranges.
The base Arthur 6 ($5790 plus ORC) is capable of 65km/h and has a motor output of 5.4kW and a battery range of 60km. The Long Range variant ($7490 plus ORC) ups the top speed to 80km/h, the battery range to 130km, and the motor output to 7kW.
Rounding out the lineup is the Performance variant ($7990 plus ORC), which also has a 130km battery range, but increases motor output to 9.1kW and top speed to 90km/h.
Compared to the previous Fonz Arthur model, the new Arthur 6 platform is said to have revised ride and handling characteristics, increased torque, and linear acceleration.
The Long Range and Performance variants get their longer battery ranges from dual lightweight lithium-ion powerpacks that utilise a new ‘CAN’ communication system to manage performance, output, and speed.
Charging is achieved through standard GPO wall outlets or optional type 2 AC charging infrastructure for when riders are out on the road.
There are five colourways available, and each unit offers 12-month, 5000-kilometre service intervals. The Arthur 6 is learner approved, and the base model can be ridden on a car licence in NT, QLD, SA, and WA where speeds are limited to 50km/h.
Pre-orders for the Fonz Arthur 6 are open now, while national rollout event will take place from January 13. Speak to your local Fonz dealer for more information.
