EICMA: CFMOTO 675SR-R and 675NK double triple treat

The company’s rapid growth curve continues as the three-cylinder sportsbike and naked bike take centre stage

CFMOTO has taken the wraps off its two new inline triples in Milan – the 657SR-R and 675NK – as it formally adds another engine configuration into its burgeoning motorcycle stocks.

We’d already touched on the imminent launch of the fully faired 675SR-R after a number of teaser images over the last few months, but the unveiling of the 675NK naked – although inevitable – in tandem with its fully faired sibling has perhaps surprised a few onlookers.

However, there’s no harm in adding more eyeballs to such a captive motorcycle audience, with the liquid-cooled DOHC engine the piece de resistance. The engine, which has a 120-degree crank, taps out at 89hp (66kW) at 11,000rpm and with 68Nm of torque at 8250rpm. There’s a one-way (up) quickshifter.

The 675SR-R has a wheelbase of 1400 mm, a 23.7-degree head tube angle and 93.2mm of trail, with a kerb weight of 198kg (15-litre tank filled to 90 per cent).

The engine on the 675SR-R is wrapped in a high-strength chromium-molybdenum frame to achieve the optimum balance between light weight and maximum manoeuvrability.

Suspension is handled by KYB, with a fully adjustable 41mm upside-down fork and a single shock absorber with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping.

There’s a five-inch TFT display with phone connectivity and, dual USB sockets and, thanks to the T-Box’s 4G modules and 6D sensors, there’s over-the-air upgrades and seamless interaction through the CFMOTO app.

Save for a few bits and pieces, take the 675SR-R’s credentials and ‘save as’ for the 675NK without the clothes, which adds to an already impressive NK portfolio that begins with the 300NK single-cylinder and is bookmarked by the parallel-twin 800NK.

Of course, the 675NK is cut with a different cloth again thanks to its unique engine configuration, while other features include adjustable KYB suspension, J.Juan four-piston calipers, adjustable traction control and tyre pressure monitoring.

The nominal seat height is 810mm, with high (825mm) and low (810nmm) options available.

No details yet on Australian availability or pricing for either model.
