Just days after launching its all-new lightweight V2 engine, Ducati has unveiled the first two machines which will feature the powerplant: the 2025 Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2.
The duo will utilise the 120hp version of the 90-degree 890cc twin, which produces 70 per cent of maximum torque at 3000rpm – ideal for both the track and road riding.
The electronics package includes four riding modes, a five-inch TFT, cornering ABS and traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and the same quickshifter as used on the Panigale V4.
Maintaining Ducati tradition, both models will also be available in ‘S’ versions, with the base models equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shock absorbers, while the V2 Ss have Ohlins suspension, weight-saving lithium-ion batteries, launch control and a pit limiter.

Price and Australian availability for all four models:
Panigale V2 (Available April 2025)
Streetfighter V2 (Available July 2025)
According to Ducati, the Panigale V2 has been designed from a blank canvas and, thanks to the new engine and 4kg monocoque frame, it’s the lightest Panigale ever: a dry weight of 176kg for the S and 179kg for the standard model.
Ducati claims it’s the “easiest and most enjoyable Ducati sportbike ever” thanks to a less aggressive riding position, while the Streetfighter formula is simple: 890cc engine, Panigale V2 chassis, wide and high handlebars, and no fairing.
The fuel tank, the fully faired seat/tail unit and the light-alloy wheels are the same as the Panigale V2, while the monocoque frame uses the engine as a stressed element. The Streetfighter also has a 30m longer swingarm than the Panigale.
Accessories for the Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 include cruise control, turn-by-turn navigation, a USB power socket and tyre pressure monitoring.
