Ducati has announced that, for the first time in its history, it achieved revenue of 1 billion euros in 2022, also racking up record operating profit of 109 million euros and record deliveries of 61,562 motorcycles, equating with growth of 3.6 per cent over 2021. Add in world titles in MotoGP and WorldSBK, it was the Bologna-based marque's most successful year ever on multiple levels, as it rebounds in fine style from the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, said it was a stellar year for the company in so many ways. “For the first time in our history, we passed the 60,000-bikes mark and we overtook 1 billion euros in revenue,” he said.
“This establishes 2022 as the best year ever for Ducati in several aspects, starting from the great sales and financial performance to the successes in MotoGP and WorldSBK. We are on a positive trend that in the last years has seen Ducati grow and establish itself as an increasingly solid company.
“As a brand that is an expression of Made in Italy, innovation, design and technology, we keep our focus on delivering exciting experiences on and off motorcycles to passionate Ducatisti all over the world.”
At the end of 2022 there were 821 dealerships in the official Ducati dealer network, representing the brand in 96 markets.
Now the company says its focus is firmly fixed on 2023 – a year in which it says it will present eight new or updated models, including the Multistrada V4 Rally, Diavel V4, and the second generation of Scrambler, among others.
