Yamaha took the wraps off a spruced-up XT1200Z Super Ténéré at Intermot 2010, aka the Cologne motorcycle show, giving us a sneak peek of what lays in store for the adventure tourer.
Standing tall like a race-ready desert dueller, the big-bore adventure bike is kitted out with several aftermarket parts, including Ohlins suspension components and an Akrapovic exhaust system for uprated performance and handling dynamics respectively.
The Yamaha World Crosser concept also features a full navigation and GPS suite integrated behind the tall front screen, ideal if you ever plan on navigating vast open spaces with few visible landmarks.
"Fully-equipped with an exclusive range of lightweight chassis components, this high-specification machine is designed for adventurous riders who want a supremely capable motorcycle for the toughest global challenge," says Yamaha.
The Japanese company says that by creating this new concept motorcycle it has "underlined the true spirit of the Super Ténéré."
Though it's unclear if Yamaha will actually put together the World Crosser for sale, it seems feasible that it could at least off the parts for owners who want to upgrade.
