BMW: minor changes for 2020 range
New colours and limited packaging changes will help identify BMW's 2020 range, which rolls off the production lines from this month…Automatic stability control on all R nineT models is the biggest change – beyond new colours – to BMW Motorrad's model-year 2020 updates.
Most models pick up new paint colours and the BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure can now have cross-spoked wheels (in gold or black) on any coloured bike.
The options list has been extended for flagship models such as the K 1600 GT/GTL and R 1250 RT with the addition of 'Option 719' paint and seats.
K series bikes also adopt a fully black switchgear set, including the reversing button.
Other changes include a new carbon fibre pack for the BMW S 1000 RR and a 15 per cent cut in the price of accessories such as dynamic electronic suspension adjustment and the dynamic and comfort packs for the F 750 GS / F 850 GS / F 850 GS Adventure bikes.

Here's a rundown on the changes:
- BMW G 310 R – Cosmic Black 2 paint replaces Cosmic Black.
- BMW G 310 GS – Strato Blue Metallic paint replaces Racing Red.
- BMW C 650 Sport – Lupin Blue Metallic paint replaces Austin Yellow Metallic.
- BMW C 650 GT – Hockenheim Silver Metallic paint replaces Ocean Blue Metallic Matt.
- BMW F 750 GS / F 850 GS / F 850 GS Adventure – price cut of 15 per cent on optional equipment such as Dynamic ESA, Riding Modes Pro, Comfort Package and Dynamic Package.
- BMW S 1000 R – San Marino Blue Metallic paint replaces Racing Red/Black Storm Metallic.
- BMW S 1000 RR – Hockenheim Silver Metallic paint added; along with a carbon package (front and rear fender, upper fairing side panel left and right, chain guard and sprocket cover).
- BMW K 1600 GT – Option 719 Blue Planet Metallic/Ivory paint replaces Option 719 Blue Metallic; Option 719 Stardust Metallic paint replaces Sparkling Storm Metallic; Option 719 seat now in in dark brown while brown/dark brown seats can be ordered for all colours.
- BMW K 1600 GTL (in addition to GT) – Black Storm Metallic paint replaces Light White.
- BMW K 1600 B – Hockenheim Silver Metallic paint added.
- BMW K 1600 Grand America – Hockenheim Silver Metallic paint added.
- BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure – Cross-spoked wheels in gold or black can now be ordered for all colours.
- BMW R nineT (all models) – ASC (Automatic Stability Control) is standard equipment.
- BMW R 1250 RT – Option 719 Blue Planet Metallic/Ivory paint replaces Option 719 Blue metallic; Option 719 Stardust Metallic paint replaces Option 719 Sparkling Storm Metallic; Manhattan Metallic paint replaces Carbon Black Metallic; Option 719 seat now in dark brown and brown/dark brown seats can be ordered for all colours.
