Beemer Scooters

What better place than Milan to introduce two new scooters?

As expected, BMW unveiled two new maxi scooters at the Milan Show, with the C600 Sport and C650 GT models.

Despite the different monikers, both scooters are powered by the same 647cc parallel-twin engine with the Sport taking on a more nimble stance compared to the GT model, which is the mile-munching touring version of the pair.

Both scooters feature the brand’s effective ABS system, use upside-down 40mm forks and a tubular-steel chassis.
The GT has more relaxed ergonomics than the Sport model, a set of hard paniers which increase the luggage capacity by 60-litres as well as a taller electric-adjustable windscreen.

The Sport model sees a Flexcase flap which lowers and expands the underseat luggage capacity – only when the vehicle is stationary – and has a trigger which won’t allow the bike to be ridden when the flap is in the lowered position.
