Chinese maker Zongshen Industrial is expected to reveal a production version of its long-awaited 650 parallel twin during this year's European show season, which starts in a few months.
The company has been trialling a number of ambitious designs, including the Shark (shown here at a launch a little over a year ago), and various powerplants, including a 750 V-twin. It has also done a considerable amount of endurance racing over recent years, with one-litre Suzukis.
Its new model is expected to be toned down a little in the styling department and the word is the pricing will be aimed to undercut the existing Japanese and Korean offerings.
Zongshen's existing line-up includes scooters, ATVs and motorcycles, up to the 250GS single.
