Organisers are gearing up for the second annual Sydney Scooter Expo, which will be held in the NSW capital at the Honda Australia Rider Training (HART) facility in St Ives (opposite the St Ives Showground) over the weekend of September 22-23.
The expo will showcase a broad selection of current scooter models and provide an insight into the scooter lifestyle, which has certainly enjoyed a resurgence in recent years.
Best of all, show-goers will be able to test ride any of a number of scoots on the HART training range, giving prospective, licenced scooter buyers a brilliant opportunity to get a feel for what sort of scoot might suit them best.
The expo will also feature trade stalls and there will be representation of a host of major scooter brands, including Vespa, Piaggio, Honda, Yamaha, TGB, SYM and Aprilia. Food and drinks will also be available. There will be information for complete newbies on how to go about getting a scooter licence, and a wide range of accessories will also be on show.
Underlining the affordability of scooters as a form of transport is the event's admission price -- entry and parking is absolutely free. Gates will be open from 10am to 4pm on each day of the expo.
