Zero SR/X electric concept wows at SXSW Sydney

Leading electric motorcycle manufacturer Zero has been showing off a stunning concept bike

A one-of-a-kind Zero Motorcycles electric concept was on display at the SXSW Sydney Tech & Innovation Expo.

Dubbed the Zero SR-X, the concept bike debuted at the Paris Olympics and is a semi-faired machine designed in collaboration with Huge Design, an agency based in San Francisco. The full-electric motorcycle combines state-of-the-art electric motorcycle technology with a sleek and innovative look.

“We’re excited to bring the SR-X to Australia,” said Zero Australia’s Chris Walton. “This concept bike embodies a futuristic, yet rideable vision of electric motorcycles, and we’re thrilled to share it with Australian audiences.”

According to Zero Motorcycles Australia, the concept bike drew a lot of attention at the event. “We had a lot of people asking if they could buy the SR/X at SXSW,” said Marketing Manager Tom Reynolds. “If I had my way, we’d already have these in production. The interest in the SR/X was huge – no pun intended.”

The SR/X will be on display at various Zero Motorcycles events and dealerships across Australia in the coming months, however there are no hints on when or if the concept will become a production model.

Zero Motorcycles returned to the Australian market last year under the guidance of Peter Stevens.
