Zero Motorcycles now on sale
The innovative electric bike brand’s range is now available through dealers in five Australian statesThe complete nine-model 2024 Zero Motorcycles range is currently being rolled out across Australian showrooms, with the electric-only brand announcing the appointment of eight dealers across five Australian states.
In what’s touted as the biggest influx ever of electric motorcycles to the Australian market, the range comprises four street bikes in the SR/F, SR/S, SR and S, four dual-sport models in the DSR/X, DSR, DS and FX, as well as the FXE supermoto-style machine.
While EV take-up in Australia has been slower compared to other markets, Zero Motorcycles Australia is hoping to change would-be owners’ perceptions by offering longer test-ride periods than petrol-powered bikes, allowing riders more time to familiarise themselves with what’s largely unfamiliar technology.
“Zero Motorcycles Australia is making it easier than ever to discover the thrill of electric riding by offering the most comprehensive demo program possible,” a company statement read.
Similarly, the brand is hoping to attract would-be dealerships to the fold by offering what it’s calling a more streamlined process.
“This simplification is best exemplified by the dealership agreement, which is just 12 pages,” said Zero Motorcycles Australia’s General Manager, Chris Walton.
Prices start at $24,500 (plus ORC) for the FX and FXE models and top out at $46,800 (plus ORC) for the range-topping DSR/X adventure tourer.
