Reigning national champion Colin Zarczynski is the only rider to retain his place in the Australian men's team for this year's Trial des Nations, to be held in Poland on September 11-12.
The duo will be joined by Neil Price, Lewis Nolan and and Tim Coleman in the four-man team, which was sixth in the 'international' (second) division in 2009 after recording four successive podiums from 2005-2008.
The men's reserve is Kyle Middleton, and representing the women's team will be and all-new team of Michelle Owen, Kristie McKinnon and Ailsa Anderson. The reserve is Brooke Lonie. The women were seventh in 2009.
The Trial des Nations first began in 1984, with Spain the dominant country in division one. The all-conquering Spaniards have won 15 of the last 19 events, with only Great Britain and France getting a look in.
"I'm pretty excited that we've been given the opportunity to put a couple of younger riders into the team this year," team manager Colin Scott said. "They're certainly some of Australia's top riders, but it's the blend of having some older riders with experience and younger riders which I think will be a very good mix and it's quite a positive team this year.
"It's pretty exciting to build up a group of younger riders that will possibly be the stars of the Australia team in the future."
