YCF motorcycles now in Australia

The French tackle, which includes kids' bikes and entry-level adult dirtbikes, is now in Australia, and already includes 11 retail outlets
YCF Motorcycles are now on sale in Australia, in capacities ranging from 50-190cc and boasting a line-up that includes kids' bikes all the way through to high-end pit bikes and entry-level adult dirtbikes.
Patrick Lowry, the general manager of former Australian Husqvarna and MV Agusta importer, the Paul Feeney Group, is behind the YCF venture, and his initial focus is to "establish YCF Motorcycles as a quality and reputable brand in the Australian market".
"YCF has been very successful in France for the past 10 years and in recent times has been expanding into various global markets," Lowry told Bikesales.
"I see an excellent opportunity with YCF to target not only the kids' fun bike market but also the entry level adult dirtbike market and the high-performance pit bike market which YCF is a renowned world leader.
"YCF has invested substantially in product design, performance, reliability, and brand image. It offers dealers an excellent range of accessories, merchandise, indoor and outdoor signage and shop display systems for a consistent corporate image.
"YCF products feature a level of quality expected in European brands however due to their manufacturing plant in China they are able to offer their range at very competitive pricing which makes getting into motorcycling very affordable.”
The 20-bike YCF range is made up of 19 dirtbikes ranging from 50-190cc – some minor variations on the theme -- and a 150cc supermoto machine. Click here to check out the line-up.
Prices start at $1550 rideaway for the YCF 50 A automatic, all the way to $4790 rideaway for the Factory SPIIII F190 dirtbike with a 14-inch front wheel and 12-inch rear. All the bikes have air-cooled four-stroke engines.
Lowry Australia has already assembled an 11-strong dealer network across four states in Australia, which you can see here.
Founded in 2004, YCF is the collaboration between motocross racer Yannick Coquard and Dimitri Bera, an expatriate French technician living in China. Together they created YCF minicross bikes with the idea of providing a leisure motorcycle which would be accessible and affordable to all.
