Yamaha has unveiled the new Wolverine-R two-seater side-by-side vehicle, designed for mostly play but with the ability to roll up its sleeves for some light utility work.
The Wolverine-R has a fully automatic CVT transmission mated to a single-cylinder 708cc engine. There's on-command 2WD/4WD/4WD with diff lock, electronic power steering, KYB piggyback shocks and a 146kg flat cargo bed, with the machine rated for a 680kg towing capacity.
Suspension travel is 246mm (front) and 269mm, ground clearance is 290mm and the Wolverine-R has 12-inch wheels. Wet weight is 581kg.
Yamaha Motor Australia's current side-by-side offerings are the two 686cc single-cylinder Vikings – one a three-seater and the other accommodating six (see bikes here). We're still awaiting word on whether the more powerful Wolverine-R will join the line-up.
