The all-new Wolverine RMAX2 1000 XT-R and RMAX4 1000 XTR will join Yamaha’s expanded ROV (Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle) line-up, with a class-leading 999cc engine headlining the features of the two new models.
With the Japanese manufacturer joining a mass exodus from the Australian ATV market, its ROV (or UTV) program has taken on extra importance, with the new Wolverine models introducing a 999cc engine to the utility range.

While the company’s ‘Sport ROV’ range includes 1000cc engines, the new Wolverine engines are the first for the ‘Utility ROV’ range.
Yamaha has designed the Wolverine RMAX 1000 models to blend utility, recreation and sport, with blistering performance, supreme comfort, and great versatility.
The RMAX2 and RMAX4 are two- and four-seat vehicles respectively, but otherwise include very similar features including 3 drive modes (Sport, Trail and Crawl), advanced Fox suspension, interior lighting and a 4WD system. The RMAX2 features a tilting cargo bed, while the RMAX4 has an adjustable cargo configuration.

Both vehicles are designed with Yamaha’s legendary durability in mind, and also feature automotive-style soft touchpoints and next-generation style. The Australian versions of the RMAX2 and RMAX4 come in an XT-R package, offering a different look to the international versions.
The Wolverine RMAX2 1000 XT-R checks in at $26,749 drive away, while the Wolverine RMAX4 1000 XT-R checks in at $28,249 drive away. Both vehicles are available on dealer floors in limited numbers this December.
It has been a big 24 hours for Yamaha with the company also announcing the new 2021 WR450F and 2021 WR450F Aussie Edition.
