Two years after Yamaha launched the Tricity 125 leaning multi wheel scooter, it's announced a successor in the form of the Tricity 155.Billed as a global model, the three-wheeled commuter is scheduled for a September 2016 release in Europe followed by Japan and then other countries, but no word on Australian availability at this stage.The Tricity 155 has a 155cc liquid-cooled Blue Core engine, and it also has:1. A newly designed frame with a claimed improvement in rigidity;2. A larger footboard areas to provide a more comfortable riding position;3. An expanded 23.5-litre underseat storage area, as well as an accessories compartment fitted with a DC power socket;4. A new parking brake; and5. LED headlights.Blue Core is a “high-performance compact engine” unveiled in 2014, which the company says meets the goal of improving fuel efficiency of its motorcycles by 50 per cent compared to 2008 models.Yamaha aims for an annual production target of five million units by 2020, as it introduces the technology into various&nbsp; models to be launched in both emerging and developed markets.The Tricity 155 will be manufactured by Thai Yamaha Motor.Click here to read the launch review on the Tricity 125, and here
